Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide derived from the naturally occurring immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg) with a stabilizing Gly-Pro extension. Developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Selank combines anxiolytic and nootropic properties with immunomodulatory activity — a unique pharmacological profile not found in conventional anxiolytics.
